2018 Cannes Film Festival Announces Line-Up with Spike Lee, David Robert Mitchell, Godard in Competition

The 2018 , the 71st annual fest, announced its official line-up at a press conference this morning. The films in competition were revealed, as well as some of the sidebars including Un Certain Regard, Special Screenings and a couple films in the Midnight Section.

Cannes18PosterPreviously announced was the festival opener, Everybody Knows, the new film from two-time Oscar-winning Iranian filmmaker Asghar Farhadi, this one being a Spanish drama starring Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem.

The festival runs from May 8 through May 19 with one of the bigger films premiering there being Lucasfilms’ Solo: A Star Wars Story.
