The first big sale out of Cannes is currently in the works with the -penned drama MOLLY’S GAME. is closing in on a $9 million deal for the poker drama starring and .

Based on the memoir, Molly’s Game: From Hollywood’s Elite to Wall Street’s Billionaire Boys Club, My High-Stakes Adventure in the World of Underground Poker by poker maven Molly Bloom, the film will be the award-winning screenwriter’s directorial debut. If the deal closes, STX will acquire the U.S. and China rights to the film.

The Mark Gordon Company and eOne are financing the film. will produce alongside of . will serve as executive producer.
