Adi Shankar’s “Castlevania” Nabs “Hobbit” Stars Richard Armitage, Graham McTavish to Lead Voice Cast

The Hobbit stars and are set to voice two of the main characters in Netflix’s animated series from producer Adi Shankar, it was announced Wednesday.

Armitage, who played Thorin in the Hobbit trilogy, will voice vampire hunter Trevor Belmont, while McTavish, who played Dwalin, will voice the king of all vampires, Dracula.

Elsewhere, James Callis, who played Dr. Gaius Baltar on Battlestar Galactica, will voice Alucard, and Emily Swallow (The Mentalist) will voice Lisa Tepes, Alucard’s mother and Dracula’s wife.

Finally, Alejandra Reynoso (Winx Club) will voice Sypha Belnades, while Matt Frewer (Orphan Black) and Tony Amendola (Stargate SG-1) will voice characters known as The Bishop and The Elder, respectively.

Netflix will begin streaming Castlevania on July 7, but you can sink your teeth into the first teaser for the series below.
