AMC Greenlights Horror Series “NOS4A2” Based on Joe Hill Novel

has ordered a new supernatural horror series called , based on Joe Hill’s novel of the same name, with the first ten-episode season airing sometime in 2019.

Hill’s novel follows Vic McQueen, a young artist who discovers she has a supernatural ability to track the seemingly immortal Charlie Manx, who feeds off the souls of children and deposits what remains of them into Christmasland, a twisted Christmas Village of Manx’s imagination. Vic must strive to defeat Manx and rescue his victims without losing her mind or falling victim to him herself.

The series will be produced by with Michael Eisner’s and distributed internationally by . Hill will be an exec. producer on the show along with the show’s creator and showrunner Jami O’Brien, who previously worked on shows Fear the Walking Dead and Hell on Wheels. Lauren Corrao, co-president of , will also executive produce.

The project came out of a writers’ room that set-up last year as part of its scripts-to-series development project, which was previously used for series The Son and the upcoming dramas Dietland and Lodge 49. 

will be the third series ordered from Tornante this year, while the company is also involved with Bojack Horseman creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg’s new animated series, Tuca & Bertie for Netflix and Undone, the first adult animated series ordered by Amazon.
