And the Winners Are…The 66th Annual Creative Arts Emmy Awards!

By:

Hold on, it’s not quite what you think. The Primetime Emmy Awards didn’t sneak up on you before you could get your final bets placed. (Those will be handed out next week on Monday, August 25, at 8pm.)

Tonight was the Creative Arts , which honors outstanding achievements in behind-the-scenes work and technical disciplines in the world of television, including art direction, cinematography, hairstyling and makeup, music, editing, sound editing and mixing, special visual effects, stunts, and more.

Uzo Aduba nabbed the award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a comedy for her work on “Orange is the New Black,” while Jimmy Fallon took the prize for guest actor for his return to his old stomping grounds “Saturday Night Live.”  And Harry Shearer, the voice of Ned Flanders, Mr. Burns, Smithers, and more on Fox’s “The Simpsons” took home his first ever Emmy for his work on the long-running comedy.  Excellent.

The Creative Arts will be broadcast on Sunday, August 24 at 8pm on FXM.
