AND THE WINNERS ARE… THE 66TH ANNUAL EMMY AWARDS!

The time has come.  After all the bets and predictions, the nomination snubs and the bingo cards, the winners of the 66th Annual Primetime Emmy’s have been announced.  Full disclosure: we here at TB Talks TV didn’t fare that well with our predictions this year.  However, we did sweep the Big Six.  Perhaps we were too hopeful that the Academy would take a few risks with their votes and steer away from the safe picks?

The awards were handed out tonight at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, with SNL alum and current “Late Night” host Seth Meyers serving as the master of ceremonies.  To no one’s surprise, Emmy favorites “Breaking Bad,” and “Modern Family” picked up another truckload of  major awards, including Outstanding Drama Series for AMC’s departing “Breaking Bad.”  More surprisingly, however, is just how well BBC’s “Sherlock” fared this year, picking up an armful of statues, including Outstanding Lead and Supporting Actor for the series’ stars – Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman, respectively.  Additionally, Ryan Murphy and HBO picked up  Outstanding TV Movie for “Normal Heart” while “Fargo” nabbed Outstanding Miniseries for FX.

So how well did you do this year with your Emmy predictions?
