Benderspink Heads Chris Bender And J.C. Spink Part Ways

After 18 years together, Benderspink manager-producers Chris Bender and J.C. Spink have ended their professional relationship, in what is said to be an amicable split. Bender will move into a new production and management company while Spink will set up a new production and management outfit of his own.

“We started Benderspink in our late 20’s almost 18 years ago,” they said in a joint statement. “We could not be more proud of what we’ve achieved together and are excited for this next chapter in each of our lives.”

Bender and Spink started as assistants at Zide-Perry Productions before founding their own management-production company in 1998. Benderspink grew in the early 2000s as the company produced box office hits like The Ring and critically acclaimed films like David Cronenberg’s A History of Violence. Their recent credits include The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, We’re the Millers, Horrible Bosses 2, and Vacation.
