Monthly wrap up reports on the spec market.

Logline: Story centers on a parolee who’s abandoned by his ex-wife and barred from seeing his young daughter. He develops a relationship with a lonely stripper, saves her from an unlikely assailant and is forced to re-evaluate his freedom as he evades the law and faces demons from his past.

Logline: When a washed-up high school quarterback is sent back in time he gets the opportunity to replay his final game. Will he avoid the injury that ended his promising career or will he choose the route that lead to his small town life?

Logline: Story centers on three actors who are brought in to help bust a DVD-bootlegging operation. When it turns out to be a front for much more nefarious activities, the comedy trio ends up on the run from crooks and cops alike with only their ad-lib skills as weapons.

Logline: A married couple think they have built the perfect life until the wife’s dark past is unveiled following the kidnapping of their 4-year-old daughter.

Logline: Based on the true story of grieving parents who used the unexpected death of their young daughter as inspiration to build a world class children’s hospital.

Logline: Based on the true story of James Bond creator Ian Fleming’s 30 Commando unit, which was a precursor to Britain’s elite forces.

Logline: Set in America in the 20’s, Charles Carter, aka Carter the Great, a brilliant stage magician is known for outrageous stunts carried out on elaborate sets. He runs into major problems – and the Secret Service – when he puts on the most outrageous stunt of all, using President Harding, who later dies mysteriously in his San Francisco hotel room.

Logline: Centers on a regular, angst-ridden twenty something who still lives at home with his mom, has a crappy job at a skating rink and has to lock himself up once a month to avoid killing people. What’s a kid to do when he’s inherited his dad’s inconvenient werewolf genes? Justin discovers he’s not alone when he joins a twelve-step-esque group therapy for other monsters. But instead of finding answers he finds himself swept up in the identity politics of the monster set.

Logline: Wanting to give his girlfriend the wedding of her dreams, Ben secretly takes on a second job moonlighting as an exotic dancer at a club called “The Male Room,” only to discover that he has a talent he never expected.

Logline: When a marauder destroys the underground sanctuary that Eva Nine was raised in by the robot Muthr, the twelve-year-year-old girl is forced to flee
aboveground. Eva Nine is searching for anyone else like her, for she knows that other humans exist, because of an item she treasures–a scrap of
cardboard on which is depicted a young girl, an adult, and a robot, with the strange word, “WondLa.”

Logline: As a teenager in Queens, Jonathan White, the son of a cop killed in the line of duty, committed a horrible crime, only to be bailed out by a detective who was his father’s former partner. Sixteen years later, Jonathan, now a cop, is living a happy life with his wife and daughter in Long Island, when a newspaper publishes an anonymous letter describing the details of the his horrible secret, throwing his life into a tailspin.

Logline: After the death of her father, 16-year-old orphan Michelle Cheramie is taken in by Louisiana Family Services and becomes the foster child of Darren Floyd. Apparently an innocent girl who knows nothing of the sophisticated depravity of her peers and elders, Michelle, in fact, has a powerful weapon with which to fight back against them.

Logline: A rape survivor returns to the scene of the crime three years later with further violent consequences.

Logline: Rachel White, a young attorney living and working in Manhattan, has always been the consummate good girl–until her thirtieth birthday, when she ends up falling in love with her best friend’s fiancé.

Logline: An American tourist visiting Italy to mend a broken heart is seduced by Elise, a beautiful woman who deliberately crosses his path, and becomes ensnared in an international plot involving Interpol and the Russian mafia who both mistake him for a criminal mastermind.

Logline: A Stanford graduate feels she’s destined to be a great poet but winds up working as a clerk in a mom-and-pop adult bookstore.

Logline: A meticulous wedding planner finally prepares for her own wedding, but the off-beat party planner that her husband-to-be hires to take over the event threatens her plans and forces a reevaluation of herself and her relationship.

Logline: Dark teen comedy about a highly competitive high school where play auditions are so political that four separate Dorothys are cast in the school’s Wizard of Oz. Scandal ensues when the Dorothys mysteriously begin dropping out of the show, one after the other.
