In November we reported on the Twilight Zone Reboot with Jordan Peel and Marco Ramirez producing the series, well CBS has officially gotten the green light!
Peele and Simon Kinberg are about to enter a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. CBS All Access announced earlier this month that The Twilight Zone will be coming to their streaming service. If that didn’t excite you, it has now been announced that the reboot will hail from executive producers Peele, Kinberg, and Daredevil showrunner Marco Ramirez. The project will be produced by Peele’s production company, Monkeypaw Productions.
Peele seems like the perfect choice, who’s social thriller Get Out already feels like a Twilight Zone episode.Win Rosenfeld and Audrey Chon will executive produce, while Peele, Kinberg, and Ramirez will “collaborate on the premiere episode.”
Planet of the Apes filmmaker Matt Reeves was at one point directing a feature film adaptation, as well as Joseph Kosinski while Bryan Singer, was producing a TV series reboot. However none of these managed to come to fruition, instead CBS seems to have found how they want to move forward.
The Twilight Zone marks the latest original series at CBS All Acess, following the heels of another classic revival Star Trek: Discovery, along with The Good Fight, a spinoff of the legal drama The Good Wife.
