Congratulations to Launch Pad writer Eric Koenig, who has signed with David Boxerbaum at Paradigm and Jake Wagner and David Vang at Benderspink! Koenig made the top 25 in the 2014 Launch Pad Features Competition with his spec Matriarch (formerly titled Malnurtured). Matriarch, a thriller about an FBI agent who has 48 hours to convince a serial killer to reveal where she’s hidden her final victim, sold last night to Paramount for mid-six figures, with Red Wagon’s Doug Wick and Romark Entertainment’s Rock Shaink attached to produce.
Koenig came to screenwriting via a variety of jobs, including military aircraft technician, massage therapist, and currently, dentist. Matriarch is his first feature sale.
