X-Men director Bryan Singer, and stars Stephen Moyer and Amy Acker. The network also released a teaser ahead of their upfront presentation.

The series focuses on Moyer and Acker as a suburban couple whose ordinary lives are rocked by the sudden discovery that their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.

Sean Teale, Jame Chung, Coby Bell, Emma Dumont, Blair Redford, John Proudstar, Natalie Alyn Lind, and Percy Hynes White co-star alongside Moyer and Acker.

The teaser truly is that, a taste of the pilot, primarily highlighting the teens and Acker’s character. It feels like a classic Fox sci-fi series like X-Files or Dollhouse (which also starred Acker) with a bit more special effects, and should thrill fans who are excited for an X-Men series but would like something a bit more straightforward than FX’s mind-bending Legion. You can watch the teaser below.

Nix executive produces with Singer, Lauren Shuler Donner, Simon Kinberg, and Marvel TV’s Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory.
