Netflix has renewed female wrestler comedy GLOW for a second season, the streaming network announced Thursday.
Glow stars Alison Brie and was inspired by the real story of the all-female wrestling foundation from the ’80s.Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch created the series and Jenji Kohan serves as executive producer alongside Tara Herrmann.
Set in Los Angeles, the series is a fictional take of the “Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling” league and tells the story of an out-of-work actress (Brie) who attempts to live out her dreams in a weekly series based on female wrestlers.
All 10 episodes was released on Netflix on Friday, June 23.
