and have been hired to rewrite New Line’s upcoming fantasy/comedy . The film, which was originally set up back in 2007, has already seen a handful of writers come and go as the project seems stuck in development hell.

Beau Flynn and Trip Vinson will produce the feature, which follows scientists who track mythical creatures, such as Bigfoot and the Loch Ness monster, and have to deal with the sudden appearance of several of these creatures in San Francisco.

Flynn most recently produced “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island” also for New Line, a film that is closing in on the $300 million gross mark worldwide.

The newly hired writing duo most recently adapted their own graphic novel, “The Return of King Doug,” which has Ben Stiller attached to star.
