Harvey Keitel, Danny Huston and Paul Giamatti have signed on for director Ari Folman’s THE CONGRESS. Based on the novel “The Futurological Congress,” written by Stanislaw Lem, the story is set in a futuristic civilization where youth, pharmaceuticals and escapism through computer generated films, is the new reality. Stuck with a stalled career and two eccentric children to support, 43-year-old actress Robin signs a lucrative contract with Paramount Studios to have herself scanned into a computer, enabling the studio to permanently own and control her image.
Folman will write, direct and produce the sci-fi thriller with Yael Nachlieli and Eitan Mansuri. Jeremiah Samuels will executive produce.
Keitel is repped by ICM. Huston is repped by ICM. Giamatti is repped by UTA and Kipperman Management.
