{HEAT METER} Horror Spec “Raven Court” Hot On The Market, Blazing Into New Territories
0Richard Hobley’s hot new horror spec RAVEN COURT is already making waves, hot on the market. The spec, out from Jon Kanak of Kanak Management, has quickly landed into an impressive number of territories. I can now confirm that the spec is into Dimension, Michael Bay’s banner Platinum Dunes, Altitude, UK company Pinewood Pictures, WWE Studios, and Silver Pictures, with many more to come as the day continues. I can also confirm both domestic and British financiers are being targeted.
Hobley is no stranger to the market, with his work landing him on the 2014 Young And Hungry List and the 2013 Blood List. Raven Court follows a woman named Grace in the aftermath of her husband’s brutal murder, who is given the impossible opportunity to bring him back from the dead… but with horrific consequences.
Kanak is attached to produce the horror/thriller, with James Harris and Mark Lane producing through their banner, The Tea Shop & Film Company. Director James Moran is attached to direct the picture. Moran has worked on countless horror entries, including Ouija, Dark Skies, the Paranormal Activity series, making his feature directing debut with the Always Watching: A Marble Hornets Story adaptation.
Hobley is repped by Kanak and Anthony Mestriner of Casarotto Ramsay & Associates in the UK.
