Jason Bateman will direct THE FAMILY FANG, which stars Nicole Kidman. The story follows a couple of performance artists who routinely sucked their kids into taking part in a variety of bizarre events who later realize their full-grown children harbor more than a little resentment and blame the performance art for how badly their own lives have turned out.
David Lindsay-Abaire adapted the script from Kevin Wilson’s book of the same name. Producing will be Kidman, Bateman, Per Saari, Dean Vanech, Leslie Urdang, Jim Garavente and Bill Block.
Bateman’s feature directorial debut “Bad Words” is next on the horizon for him. As for the acting side of things he’ll next appear in “This Is Where I Leave You.”
He is repped by CAA.
