Plot descriptions for the film are vague, but the story follows a fishing boat captain whose dark past catches up with him while residing on a Caribbean island. Clarke is said to be in talks for the role of Hathaway’s wealthy and powerful husband.
The movie, which is need of a distributor, was shopped at the European Film Market in February and could find one at Cannes next month. This news was first reported by Variety.
Clarke has several movies coming up, including All I See Is You with Blake Lively, Mudbound, which earned good reviews at Sundance, The Man With the Iron Heart with Rosamund Pike, and Chappaquiddick. Most recently, he appeared in Terrence Malick’s Knight of Cups. He’s represented by WME and Robert Stein Management.
