Jesse Eisenberg to Write, Direct, and Headline Comedy Series at Bad Robot

Bad Robot is teaming up with actor on the single-camera comedy THE MARKET. Eisenberg will star in, write, and direct the project which hails from Warner Bros. TV.

The story centers on the recently widowed Harold Katzman who moves to Pittsburgh to live with his adult son, Stan. Both men simultaneously lose their jobs due to the changing American economy and are thrust into an unforgiving job market. Eisenberg will play Stan.

Bad Robot’s J.J. Abrams and Ben Stephenson will executive produce alongside Eisenberg.

Eisenberg is best known for his work in front of the camera in films like The Social Network, Batman v. Superman, and Zombieland. He will play Lex Luthor again in the upcoming Justice League. Off-screen he has three plays, The Spoils, The Revisionist, and Asucion, which earned a Drama League nomination. He is also a contributor to The New Yorker and penned the collection Bream Gives Me Hiccups.
