The “stakes are medium” Jeff Goldblum declares in the hilarious, official trailer for TOUR DE PHARMACY, the HBO sports mockumentary set to premiere July 8th. The project is the second from Andy Samberg and Murray Miller for the network, who previously did the tennis comedy 7 Days in Hell for the premium cabler.
The film is set in 1982, following the events of a professional bicycle race, and features an all-star cast that includes Samberg, John Cena, Orlando Bloom, Daveed Diggs, Freddie Highmore (as a young Julia Ormond), James Marsden, Maya Rudolph, and many more. Famous cyclist Lance Armstrong, who won seven Tour de France’s only to have them voided for drug use, also makes an appearance.
7 Days in Hell was a fantastic skewering of the tennis world starring Samberg and Game of Thrones‘ Kit Harrington, and this new sports mockumentary feature looks like an equally great follow-up from the team.
