Bleecker Street has released the first trailer for their upcoming film BEIRUT. The Machinist helmer Brad Anderson directs from a script written by Bourne Trilogy scribe Tony Gilroy.
Set in 1982 John Hamm stars as a diplomat and negotiator who receives a mission from the CIA to negotiate for the life of a friend he left behind. The film also tackles real-life events including the Munich Olympics and relations with the Middle East.
The film also stars Rosamund Pike, Dean Norris, Larry Pine, Shea Whigham. Beirut opens in theaters April 13, watch the trailer below.

A U.S. diplomat (Jon Hamm) flees Lebanon in 1972 after a tragic incident at his home. Ten years later, he is called back to war-torn Beirut by CIA operatives (Rosamund Pike) to negotiate for the life of a friend he left behind.
