Michael Stark & Terrell T. Garrett have turned their 2013 Launch Pad script WOLVERTON into a comic book series, which they are currently crowd funding for with the hopes of getting the book on shelves in the next two or three months. The series is set in turn of the century London and follows gentleman thief Jack Wolverton who specializes in stealing “the arcane, the accursed and the occultic.” The writers describe it as a cross between Sherlock Holmes and Indiana Jones so be sure look out for the book on the shelves of your local comic book store and to follow the series’ twitter account @WolvertonComic.
Stark and Garrett currently reside in Georgia, near Hillbilly Hollywood, where they shoot The Walking Dead and which is also the home of Pinewood Studios’ Atlanta hub. Stark had previously worked in the screen trade, optioning scripts to Disney, Baldwin Entertainment and Vincent D’Onofrio. Garrett is a former video game designer and is currently adapting Alistair MacLean’s novel Fear Is the Key for the big screen.
The Launch Pad’s 2017 Manuscript Competition is currently open for submissions.
