Marilyn Manson Will Creep the Hell Out of You in “Let Me Make You a Martyr” Trailer (Video)

I have a shocking confession. I’m a fan of … the actor, as well as the musician. That’s right, I was the moody teen who had a blacklight Manson poster on his bedroom wall. Can you believe it? Me? Moody? Ha!

I missed Manson’s six-episode arc on Sons of Anarchy, but I was impressed by his work in The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things, and he has livened up bad movies like Wrong Cops, Jawbreaker and Party Monster with his peculiar energy. But I can’t remember the actor tackling anything like , which released its first trailer (well, more like a scene) on Friday.

Manson plays a hitman in the film, and it seems the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, as the footage finds him relaying a story about how his father once killed a man. You’ll also see him singing a gospel song while holding a gun on a driver who’s clearly afraid for his life.

John Swab and Corey Asraf wrote and directed Let Me Make You a Martyr, which also stars Sam Quartin, Niko Nicotera, Michael Potts, rapper-turned-actor Slaine (The Town) and veteran character actor Mark Boone Junior.

Let Me Make You a Martyr opens in select theaters on May 25 before it hits VOD on June 9.
