Channing Tatum and the Weinstein Company have brought in Mike Vukadinovich to adapt YA novel Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock by Matthew Quick. The novel tells the story of the titular character and his plan to kill his best friend and himself on his eighteenth birthday.
Tatum will share directing duties with Reid Carolin and co-produce through his production shingle Free Association with Peter Kiernan. Tatum may take on a third position, potentially starring as a teacher who attempts to intervene. Tatum is also working on Fox’s much anticipated X-Men spinoff, Gambit.
Vukadinovich is also working with Fox on The Three Misfortunes of Gepetto and is adapting Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride which is set up at Disney.
