“Sports Illustrated” model Marisa Miller has signed on to costar in a supporting role alongside Ryan Reynolds, Jeff Bridges and Mary-Louise Parker in Universal’s supertatural-comedy, R.I.P.D.. No details on her role in the film were released. The film marks her feature acting debut.
Based on the Dark Horse comic book written by Peter Lenkov, the feature, helmed by Robert Schwentke, follows a murdered cop (Reynolds) who is recruited to work in the Rest in Peace Department (RIPD), a ghost-busting police force (itself comprised of ghosts) that battles spirits unready to depart into the afterlife, in order to get the man responsible for his murder.
Original Films’ Neal Moritz is producing with Mike Richardson and David Dobkin. Peter Lenkov, Ori Marmur and Michael Fottrell to executive produce.
Miller is repped by CAA.
