MR. ROBOT is coming back for a fourth season, creator and showrunner Sam Esmail announced Wednesday.
“Calm down everyone,” the writer and executive producer said on Instagram. “#MrRobot season_4.0 writers’ room is officially open for business.”
The announcement came on the same day as the Season 3 finale of Mr. Robot, which airs Wednesday night on USA. It also comes two days after Christian Slater received his third Golden Globe nomination for his role as the titular character, the deceased father to Rami Malek’s character Elliot.
Mr. Robot made a huge splash in its first season, winning the Globe for Best Drama Series and the Best Actor Emmy for Malek.
The show has seen a steady decline in ratings over its three seasons, though it remains a critical and cult fan favorite.
