You gotta give Netflix credit for finding fun and entertaining new ways to promote their ongoing shows.
For what looks like an exciting third season of NARCOS, which was shot partially in New York City, they decked out a truck to drive around town serving Colombian coffee and donuts (white powdered, of course) to anyone who wants to check out the brand new trailer.
You can follow Narcos on Twitter to find out where else the truck will be stopping, but if you don’t feel like traipsing around the city in the heat, you can also just watch the new trailer below.
The third season of the Netflix show continues after the second season’s hunt for Colombian drug kingpin Pablo Escobar has ended, and the DEA starts going after the Cali Cartel, the world’s richest drug trafficking organization.
This cartel is led by four godfathers, who prefer to bribe government officials and do their business more under the radar than Escobar did.
The leader of the Cali Cartel, the “boss of bosses,” is Gilberto Rodriguez Orejuela, played by Damian Alcazar. Gilberto’s brother Miguel Rodriguez Orejuela (Francisco Denis) is the brains of the operation, while Pacho Herrera (Alberto Ammann) is their hitman and Mexican connection. Chepe Santacruz Londono (Pepe Rapazote) runs the cartel’s NYC operations.
Pedro Pascal from Game of Thrones returns as DEA agent Javier Peña, who has to turn to both American and Colombian law enforcement to help take down the Cali cartel.
Also joining the cast for the third season are Matias Varela, Michael Stahl-David, Matt Whelan, Miguel Angel Silvestre, Kerry Bishe and Arturo Castro.
All episodes of Season 3 will premiere on Netflix starting September 1.
