Netflix’s series based on Daniel Handler’s book series A Series of Unfortunate Events (written under the pseudonym of “Lemony Snicket”) looks to be another success story for the streaming service. Today, they announced the March 30 streaming date for Season Two of the series via a unique teaser featuring the show’s star Neil Patrick Harris as Count Olaf.
Harris’ character is actually the antagonist of the series as he torments a trio of orphans — Violet, Klaus and Sunny Baudelaire — while trying to get his hands on their inheritance.
The second season consists of ten one-hour episodes which will all stream on the network starting March 30.
Harris is joined by returning cast Malina Weissman, Louis Hynes, Presley Smith, Patrick Warburton and K. Todd Freeman. Joining the cast for Season 2 are Lucy Punch, Nathan Fillion, Tony Hale, Sara Rue and Roger Bart. The show is executive produced by Barry Sonnenfeld and Daniel Handler.
