New Launch Pad Alum Eric Gross Signs With Verve And Lit Entertainment and Sets Town Abuzz with New Spec! (Exclusive)
0Hot off being named to the Top 100 of the 2018/19 Launch Pad Feature Competition, newcomer Eric Gross has not only landed a powerhouse representation team in agent David Boxerbaum of Verve and manager Adam Kolbrenner of Lit Entertainment Group, but his recently announced Launch Pad script has set the town abuzz as it goes into the weekend with most territories filled and multiple offers looming.
The project, “T”, which was recently announced in the first round of finalists for the most recent Launch Pad Competition centers on the origins of 1980s icon Laurence Tureaud, perhaps better known to the world as none other than Mr. T. The story centers on his rise from that of a young child growing up in Chicago’s Roger Taylor projects, to becoming a bouncer turned bodyguard for boxer Leon Spinks, to his eventual break out moment when he was discovered by TV producer Devin Berry and his meteoric rise in the public arena would begin.
Both longtime Launch Pad judges and partners, Boxerbaum and Kolbrenner make up a large part of the representation fields for some of the largest spec sales in recent history, and both have often appeared in the top 5 representation categories for projects on our annual Spec Books, as well as most annual ‘best of’ lists such as the Black List, Hit List, Blood List and Young & Hungry List.
We’re incredibly excited to continue tracking Gross’ first foray into the market, and thrilled to see him land with a team of incredible reps to help launch his career.
With this signing, Gross joins the more than 400 Launch Pad writers who have landed representation since Launch Pad began.
