“Glee” co-creator Brad Falchuk has come on board to rewrite the upcoming DIRTY DANCING (REMAKE) for MGM. Kenny Ortega, who choreographed the original 1987 classic starring Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze, will direct.
The original film follows a pampered young girl who summers with her upscale family at an establishment in the Catskills and falls in love with the resident dance instructor. Ortega will also produce with Debra Martin Chase and Eleanor Bergstein.
In addition to Fox’s hit series “Glee,” Falchuk co-created FX’s “American Horror Story” with Ryan Murphy and is currently co-writing the Sony musical/comedy “One Hit Wonders.”
He is repped by WME.
