Momentum Pictures has acquired U.S. rights to Reed Morano’s Sundance drama I THINK WE’RE ALONE NOW starring Peter Dinklage and Elle Fanning, the Tracking Board has confirmed.

Mike Makowsky wrote the Black List-approved script, which explores the importance of human connection and takes place after the human race is entirely wiped out… well, almost. Dinklage plays Del, who fancies himself the last man in the world. Del doesn’t seem to mind being alone all the time —  that is, until he discovers Grace (Fanning), who rekindles his need for companionship.

Fred Berger (La La Land) and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones (Midnight Special) of Automatik produced the film with Fernando Loureiro and Roberto Vasconcellos of Exhibit, as well as Dinklage and Makowsky.

I Think We’re Alone Now won a Special Jury Award at Sundance, where it premiered in competition. and negotiated the deal with Momentum’s Dylan Wilcox.

Morano recently won an Emmy for directing The Handmaid’s Tale, the hit Hulu series that she also executive produces. She’s in the middle of filming Paramount’s spy thriller The Rhythm Section starring Blake Lively.
