Dragons Rise in New Game of Thrones Season 6 Trailer

We are mere weeks away from the return of HBO’s Game of Thrones, and this new trailer promises one of the best seasons yet. As seen above, Arya Stark has been given a second chance at life, but she remains in service at the House of Black and White. Dany has been captured, and it appears that Tyrion is ruling in her stead. The men of the Knight’s Watch try to reclaim Jon Snow’s body so they can burn it, and Sansa Stark pledges complete vengeance against the Boltons. Jaime and Cersei also appear to be a united force once again, and Bran is back! The last shot in the trailer is by far the most terrifying, as Tyrion pays a visit to Dany’s dragons. Will he survive his venture into their lair?

Season six of Game of Thrones premieres on HBO April 24, 2016.

Ant-Man Meets Steve Rogers in New Civil War Clip

Captain America: Civil War is also close to being released in theaters, and as new clips and trailers are launched, each team assembles more members. In the clip above, Scott Lang/Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) meets Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) for the first time. Scott is tired but he perks right up when he realizes he’s standing in the presence of Captain America. It’s a really funny and endearing scene and continues to build a narrative that shows how Civil War is not only an intense film, but also a funny one. Also, this clip hows exactly how all of us would react if we met Steve Rogers: we are Ant-Man in this scene.

Captain America: Civil War opens in theaters on May 6, 2016.

Doctor Strange Gets a Mind-Bending First Trailer

Marvel pulled out all the stops this week as they released their first full-length trailer for Doctor Strange. Benedict Cumberbatch introduced the trailer on Jimmy Kimmel Live right as the Captain America: Civil War premiere was wrapping up in Hollywood. While people were excited to see exactly what kind of story Marvel would be telling in this film, no one was ready for the Inception-style visual effects that were present in the trailer. The editing is so sharp, every scene has been chosen with precision, and it truly presents a world that has not been explored yet in a Marvel film: the world of magical, mystical, and miraculous things! Also, the trailer proves once and for all that Benedict’s casting as Stephen Strange is perfection.

Doctor Strange whirls into theaters on November 4, 2016.

For the Love of Spock Trailer Debuts

As the trailer above demonstrates, Leonard Nimoy and his Star Trek character Spock, were beloved by actors and fans alike. Leonard Nimoy’s legacy as the great Vulcan character Spock has touched and transformed a lot of hearts, and this new film by Leonard’s son, Adam, really showcases that love. Many voices can be heard in the trailer, including that of William Shatner, Zachary Quinto, and George Takei. This film is a unique documentary that’s told through the lens of family and fandom, and is set to be a beautiful tribute to the late Leonard Nimoy.

First Look at Kong: Skull Island

Not much was known about Legendary’s forthcoming Kong: Skull Island film until this behind-the-scenes video was shown at the MTV Movie Awards. It looks like this film will take place on a previously undiscovered island, where a group of hunters and conservationists discover strange mammals. While no footage of King Kong was shown in the clip, it can be assumed that this is his origin story. Tom Hiddleston (The Avengers) and Brie Larson (Room) lead an all-star cast that includes Samuel L. Jackson (The Avengers,) Shea Whigham (Agent Carter,) and John Goodman (Argo.) This film will be part of the shared Warner Bros./Legendary/Universal universe which will intertwine King Kong, Godzilla, Mothra and other classic creatures.

Kong: Skull Island hits theaters on March 10, 2017.
