Ralph Fiennes & Matthew Goode Join Keira Knightley in “Official Secrets”

eOne and Mark Gordon have tapped Oscar-nominated and Matthew Good to join Keira Knightley and Matt Smith in the thriller , directed by Gavin Hood.

Official Secrets tells the true story of British intelligence whistle-blower Katharine Gun (Knightley), who, during the immediate run-up to the 2003 Iraq invasion, leaked a top-secret NSA memo exposing a joint US.-U.K illegal spying operation against members of the UN Security Council. Shooting for the project will start March 12 in Yorkshire, England.

Ged Doherty, Elizabeth Fowler, and Melissa Shiyu Zuo will produce. Claudia Bluemhuber, Anne Sheehan, and Hugo Heppell are executive producers. eOne will oversee production and will finance the project along with Screen Yorkshire and GS Media.

Fiennes has earned two Academy Award nominations for his work in Steven Spielberg’s Schindler’s List and the 1996 War drama The English Patient. His most recent credits include A Bigger Splash, The Grand Budapest Hotel, and Hail, Ceasar! He is represented by .

Goode is best known for his work in the drama thriller Stoker, Zack Snyder’s Watchmen and The Imitation Game starring Benedict Cumberbatch. He was last seen in the World War II film Allied starring Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard. He is represented by .
