Randall Park, Ali Wong Team with Netflix For Untitled Romantic Comedy

Hot Asian comics and have teamed up to co-write and star in a romantic comedy for , the Tracking Board has confirmed.

Co-written with  (Grimm), the feature film will have them playing childhood friends who end up on the opposite sides of the socioeconomic spectrum as adults, yet they still manage to fall in love.

Besides starring on the hit ABC sitcom Fresh Off the Boat, is probably one of the most prolific Asian comic actors, as he’s appeared in over a dozen R-rated comedies from the past few years. Most notably, he played North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un in Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s The Interview and Selina Meyers’ competition, Danny Chung, on HBO’s Veep.  Other recent appearances include Amy Schumer’s Snatched and last year’s Office Christmas Party. Park will play S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Jimmy Wood in Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp, scheduled for release next summer.

A hot stand-up comic, Wong did the comedy special : Baby Cobra with , and she has a recurring role on ABC’s American Housewife. She also appeared briefly doing stand-up in Brett Haley’s The Hero. She also made a single-episode appearance on Fresh Off the Boat.
