It’s in a roundabout way that we learn Sebastian Stan is likely returning to the world of Captain America. Writer/director duo Anthony and Joe Russo recently revealed that Stan’s Bucky Barnes will play a key role in CAPTAIN AMERICA 3. While that alone might not mean much, consider that Stan announced earlier this year that he signed a nine picture deal with Marvel Studios. Stan would again join the Captain himself, Chris Evans, in the project, which will be helmed by the Russo brothers from a script by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.
Stan got his start in small indie films like “The Education of Charlie Banks” and “Rachel Getting Married” before going on to roles in “Hot Tub Time Machine” and “Black Swan.” Of course, his biggest role to date is playing Bucky in the “Captain America” franchise. Up next, he’s set to star opposite Melissa Rauch and Gary Cole in Bryan Buckley’s comedy “The Bronze.”
Stan is repped by ICM and Brookside Artist Management.
