Mere days after Season 2 of ASH VS EVIL DEAD premiered on Starz, the cable network has renewed the show for a third season. Developed by Sam Raimi, who created the original Evil Dead films, Ivan Raimi, and Tom Spezialy, the series first premiered on Halloween last year.
Bruce Campbell returns to this role as Ash Williams, 30 years after the original film trilogy and sees him teaming up with his ValueShop co-worker Pablo Bolivar and Kelly Maxwell to fend off various creatures and demons when he opens the Book of the Dead again. The series also stars Lucy Lawless, who treated fans to a Xena cry when Ash vs Evil Dead had a panel at New York Comic Con yesterday.
In this newest season, Ash returns to his hometown of Elk Grove to confront Ruby (Lawless). Campbell said there will be even more blood this time around.
Season 3 is expected to premiere next fall.
