Ben Stiller has picked up the action-comedy spec The Set Up from rising screenwriter Kari Granlund. Stiller will produce through his Red Hour Films, which recently inked a financing deal with Bold Films.

A hilarious, high-speed action comedy about two co-dependent female best friends whose friendship is put through the wringer after a blind date gone awry sends them on a dangerous, all-in-one-night adventure with a drug dealer. With a psychotic drug lord and a gang of criminals hot on their heels, the girls must navigate their way through car chases, gun fights and the pains of growing up.
