Between December 1st and December 31st, we tracked a total of 10 new feature specs on the market. This marks the lowest volume of specs out in a single month, and if that surprises you, you probably thought “Puss in Boots” would beat “Avatar” at the box office.

A&E greenlights a PI drama, CBS grabs a supernatural cop drama, as well as an assistant comedy, Comedy Central revives a dormant Spike pilot, MTV brings us back to 1993 with some B&B, NBC picks up a new “inception-like” spec from Lone Star creator, adds a Brit reboot, a cheaters love story, and an Arrested Development style laugher. Meanwhile, NCIS gets a renewal, Chase doesn’t, and CBS and Comedy Central add directors to their pilots.

ABC looks to reboot a classic, and a Packaged Deal, CBS is ready for some Go Time, Comedy Central finally realizes you are Not Normal, NBC finds some Consulting Adults and Playboys, Showtime builds a house of Lies and USA is stuck Awake. Meanwhile, Love Bites loses four, and Temple Hill snags a 2/7.
