Isaac Adamson’s 2015 Hit List script Bubbles has been acquired by Andrew Kortschak and End Cue, with Dan Harmon set to produce through his Starburns Industries. Like Starburns’ Oscar-nominated film Anomalisa, Bubbles will be a stop-motion animation feature.

Now in an Florida habitat for apes, Michael Jackson’s pet chimpanzee Bubbles recounts his life spent by the King of Pop’s side and the unbreakable bond that they formed in this unique, tongue-in-cheek biopic told from the ape’s perspective.

The two-time Hit List alum has been hired to pen the adaptation of S.K. Tremayne’s 2015 novel, The Ice Twins, for Alcon Entertainment. Adamson made waves last year with his spec Bubbles, which told the story of Michael Jackson’s chimpanzee.

Story follows the relocation of a couple whose life is struck by tragedy when one of their twin daughters is killed in an accident. As the dark tale unfolds, their surviving daughter begins insisting that she is her deceased sister and gradually becomes more disturbed.
