Story details are being kept under wraps but is said to revolve around a man with a classified line of work who must take his family on a perilous trip while protecting them from the horror he has in tow.
The premise for the sci-fi thriller involves scientists exploring the afterlife. Chase will be writing and directing a feature version of his horror short Larry for Amblin Partners.
When adventurers have gone as far into space as they can or to the deepest depths of the ocean possible, the last frontier remains the exploration of the afterlife, The Infinite.
The studio hopes to mirror the success of horror films Mama and Lights Out, which both originated from short films.
