Originally published in 1953, Fahrenheit 451 is set in a future where books are outlawed and “firemen” burn any that are found, though intellectual curiosity gets the better of the protagonist, who begins stashing books away to see if he can learn anything from them.

The long-gestating adaptation of Doug Stanton’s book Horse Soldiers has landed Michael Shannon and Chris Hemsworth to star. Based on a true story, the movie is set weeks after 9/11 when special forces soldiers are sent to Afghanistan. The small team’s mission is to take over the city of Mazar-e-Sharif, but modern-day weapons prove useless in the rugged terrain.

The film is written and directed by Meredith Danluck, and follows the story of a woman, Hall, that returns to Brussels one year after her famous husband committed suicide. She re-traces the steps of the circumstances that led him to that point.
