Hot Swedish directing duo Kryler Akerstrom, made up of Marcus Kryler and Fredrik Akerstrom, have just signed with Kanak Management. I can confirm that UTA and Paradigm are also both eager to sign the award-winning team, with the filmmakers poised to make an agency decision soon.

Kryler and Akerstrom burst onto the scene with their short film Reset, which follows a young girl who lives with her mother on a remote farmland, pining for her absent father who sends her a letter each month. However, the idyllic peace is disturbed after one letter threatens to undo all that the family has built, shattering their world forever.

The stylistic sci-fi original brought great attention to the duo, winning multiple high-profile awards. The unique short is the debut for the team, who initially began their careers editing commercials, promos, and features.

Reset has received an extensive number of accolades, picking up awards at the Utopiales International Sci-fi festival, Imagine film festival, Fantasia International film festival, California International shorts, and the HP Lovecraft LA film festival. The short has also received over a dozen nominations and official selections.
