Johnny Depp might appear opposite Brad Pitt in THE BILLIONAIRE’S VINEGAR, as he has been offered the lead of Hardy Rodenstock. Based on the true story, the film follows a wine merchant who makes millions selling fake, high-end vino.

HOW TO DISAPPEAR COMPLETELY could be the next on Jamie Foxx’s slate as he has been offered a supporting role in the remake of the Swedish film, “Vitus.” If Foxx takes the deal, he will play a former piano prodigy who serves as a mentor for the main character.

FOX SEARCHLIGHT

Offers are out to Kevin Hart and Terrence Howard to star alongside Paula Patton in BAGGAGE CLAIM. Based on the David E. Talbert novel, the film is about a woman trying to find a husband in thirty days. If cast, Hart will play a hip-hop mogul and Howard is in talks for a politician role.

Paul Walker has been offered the lead in THE DUELIST, a Ben Lucas-helmed thriller about a newly freed prisoner who is forced back into the world of dueling by a seedy organization.

GROUNDSWELL PRODUCTIONS

Diablo Cody and Ol Parker could be teaming up with Evan Rachel Wood, who has been offered a supporting role in TIME AND A HALF (aka THANKS FOR PLAYING). The dramedy stars Julianna Hough as a twentysomething aspiring artist who hits a crossroad in her life, where she must chose to pursue her dream, or step into the cold world of reality where she works as a temp with her sister’s old boyfriend – who also happens to be the guy who took her virginity during an unpleasant deflowering experience in high school. Wood is in talks for the sister.

LAKESHORE ENTERTAINMENT

Jessica Chastain has been offered the forged identity lead in ADALINE. The supernatural rom-com follows a woman born in 1900 who stops aging after a freak accident. Isabel Coixet is directing the script from Allison Burnett.

LIONSGATE

Mexican wrestling comedy, AZTEC WARRIOR, could gain Seth Green and Elsa Pataky if a deal is made. The Luis Guzman starrer follows a downtrodden wrestler who must take on his nemesis in order to redeem himself. Green, if cast, will play the female lead’s (Nadine Velazquez) boyfriend while Pataky is in talks for the Aztec Warrior’s main ex-girlfriend.

NEW LINE CINEMA

SOLACE, Afonso Poyart’s psychic thriller about an FBI agent hunting a fellow psychic, has put an offer out to Johnny Depp to star as the film’s antagonist. Anthony Hopkins is set to play the lead with Samuel L. Jackson also currently in talks.

“Girls” star Adam Driver has been offered a supporting role in WE’RE THE MILLERS, which stars Jason Sudeikis, Ed Helms, Nick Offerman, and Jennifer Aniston. The long-gestating comedy is about a drug dealer who makes a fake family to help him transport his product.

SONY PICTURES

Oscar winner Kevin Costner has been offered the lead in WHEN THE GAME STANDS TALL, a sports flick about the most successful high school football program in American history. Thomas Carter is directing a script from Scott Marshall Smith.

UNIVERSAL PICTURES

Christian Bale could be returning to the Western genre with THE CREED OF VIOLENCE. The Todd Field drama is about an assassin and a government agent who must team up to stop an arms smuggling ring. Leonardo DiCaprio’s name has also been thrown around.

WARNER BROS.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt could reunite with “The Dark Knight Rises” lenser Wally Pfister for his directorial debut, UNTITLED JACK PAGLEN DRAMA PROJECT. Details about the plot are being kept under wraps, but it is said to by tonally similar to “Inception.” Christopher Nolan is producing.

THE WEINSTEIN COMPANY

Tom Wilkinson has been offered the role of Meryl Streep’s husband and the story catalyst in Tracy Letts’ AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY. Based on the Pulitzer and Tony-winning play, the film follows a highly dysfunctional family that comes together after the disappearance of the patriarch (Wilkinson).
