The CW Developing “Hacktivist” Comic with Alyssa Milano & “Covert Affairs” Creators

Former Mistresses star has a new project in the works with The CW based off of her 2014 graphic novel HACKTIVIST. Covert Affairs creators and executive producers and will pen the pilot.

The project follows Nate Graft and Ed Hiccox, twenty-something best friends and co-founders of the most important social networking company in the world, who are recruited to work secretly for the CIA to bring about global social change. The pair must face the real world beyond the code and choose between friendship and what they believe to be right. The graphic novel was written by Jackson Lanzing and Collin Kelly, and illustrated by Marcus To.

Milano, Corman, and Ord executive produce the series with Boom! Studios’ Ross Richie and Stephen Christy. Josh Levy co-executive produces.

Corman and Ord were executive producers and co-showrunners on Containment which aired last spring on CW and are best known for their USA spy thriller Covert Affairs which ran for five seasons.

Milano most recently starred on Mistresses on Lifetime in addition to hosting Project Runway All Stars for the past three seasons. She previously starred in the supernatural drama Charmed on the WB before it merged with UPN to become CW.
