CAA BUMPS UP TWENTY TRAINEES TO AGENTS AND EXECUTIVES
CAA has promoted twenty trainees to become agents or executives. This comes in response to the major loss of comedy agents to UTA at the beginning of the month. A number of top comedy talent have followed their agents and shifted to other agencies.
STARZ PROMOTES KEN SEGNA TO SVP OF ORIGINAL PROGRAMMING
Starting only five years ago at the premium network as an executive assistant, Segna has been able to work his way up the chain. He will work on currently running content, as well as developing new series for the network.
MGM NAMES ANDREW WALTER EVP OF CORPORATE DEVELOPMENT
The position is newly created and will involve planning out strategic moves to ramp up the studios film and television slate. He will report to chairman and CEO Gary Barber.
PARAMOUNT NAMES JILL BRODY SVP OF WORLDWIDE MARKETING PARTNERSHIPS AND BRAND INTEGRATION
The former s director of national promotions at E! has joined Paramount.
RACHEL O’CONNOR EXITS SONY FOR PASCAL PICTURES
The Senior VP of Sony has left to join former studio head Amy Pascal’s production company.
