has been renewed for a second season on Netflix, the streaming platform announced Tuesday.

The news comes just hours after Netflix released a new behind the scenes featurette about the show’s first season, which released in November.

The first season saw Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) take on a massive military cover-up that directly led to the murders of his family, teaming up with a former NSA hacker named Micro (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) and Daredevil confidante Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll).

Frank’s old friend Billy Russo (Ben Barnes) also resurfaced and ultimately became his most formidable foe. The Season 1 finale certainly suggests that’s not the last we’ve seen of Billy and he has not yet transformed into his final form, the Marvel villain known as Jigsaw, so that’s perhaps a hint of where Season 2 might go.

Season 1 was executive produced by showrunner Steve Lightfoot, Jim Chory and Jeph Loeb, who also serves as Marvel’s Head of Television.
