CBS feels like it’s still in transition. Considering the overall grim landscape of year-on-year ratings decline, Les Moonves seems relatively happy with his picks last season, leaving room for maybe 3 more fall dramas this time around.

For a procedural mill of sorts, it feels odd that CBS doesn’t have a richer store of procedural pilots to pick from. While it might be pointless to speculate, CBS seems headed into different territory. Maybe of its own design, maybe not.

  1. As a Nancy Drew fan, I have mixed feelings. Sure, I would like to see a new Nancy Drew show, but this pilot is taking away the fun of Nancy being a teenaged amateur sleuth. On the other hand, I’m curious to see how this will all play out. Really hoping for a series pick-up! :)
