Neil Turitz takes a look at the efficacy of these eight or six-hour stories and all their exploits that give them a leg up on the traditional 22 episode, season-to-season model.

Freeform has handed their second straight-to-series order to a Marvel show, this time for the half-hour live-action comedy New Warriors, continuing the network’s trend of focusing on stories about “becomers.”

The Tracking Board has confirmed that Oscar-winning writer Eric Roth has been hired to adapt the classic sci-fi novel Dune by Frank Herbert for Denis Villeneuve’s upcoming film.
