Everyone is excited for CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR — and they should be. The movie is getting tons of stellar early reviews (read ours here) and is being praised as Marvel’s best movie yet…but it was not always like this. Long ago, before Disney acquired Marvel, there was a Captain America movie. No, I’m not talking about The First Avenger or The Winter Soldier. I’m talking about the 1990 version starring J.D. Salinger’s son that was released during the heydays of DC comic book movies (you could say the tables have turned now). The movie is, in a word, terrible — and I didn’t even need to see the whole movie. In fact, the movie was so bad it wasn’t even released in theaters. If you need further proof of this disaster, watch this honest trailer that will not only embarrass you, but will make you laugh, cry and be grateful for the advent of CGI and Chris Evans.
