After a long and prosperous relationship, Universal Pictures and Blumhouse Entertainment have inked a new 10-year first look production deal. The deal comes the week after their latest project, “The Purge: Anarchy,” hit theaters, opening in second place after “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.” The deal encompasses all NBCUniversal branches, including Universal Television and Universal Cable Productions.

Blumhouses’ upcoming projects include supernatural thriller “Ouija,” based on the game of the same name, as well as “The Boy Next Door” and “6 Miranda Drive,” which star Jennifer Lopez and Kevin Bacon, respectively.
