| Why to Read: | This is a fast, funny, and ultimately very promising comedy. Similar to PARKS AND RECREATION and THE OFFICE, this script perfectly captures the talking heads moments just enough to be effective, without relying on them too much. The plot plays off of the premise well, making the script come across as a parody of the types of shows on Bravo that idolize fame and stardom. The writer knows how to write comedy as the jokes keep coming at you, making sure that if one doesn’t tickle your fancy, the next one will. The protagonist’s best characteristic is that they are blissfully unaware of the joke being on them, calling to mind some of Michael Scott’s best, and most cringe-worthy, moments, and making for great TV. |
